have been looking forward to today's outing...
been sometime since i last went cycling in ubin...
really missed the nature side in the area...

met lin at 7.30am in woodlands interchange...
both of us do not know how to get to the place...
so were bit lost...
hahaha...
both are road-idiots...
i admit i'm much worse than lin... :p

well anyway we still got to the meeting place...
safely but late... hee :p
a bit paiseh cos i'm meeting lin's friends for the 1st time...
and we are late... :p
but luckily they target attention on lin...
not me... hehehe...
but we are not the latest...
another guy came later than us & he lived nearer...
so not so bad that we are meeitng one another for the 1st time...
got a pretty good impression on one another... haha

well we had breakfast while waiting for the last guy to arrive...
den all head towards the ferry ride...
i like taking the ferry...
it's very nice...
with the wind blowing...
and i like the smell of the sea...
and to see the scenery...

reaching our destination...
we went straight to the bike shop...
and borrowed a bike each...

one of lin's friends, ryan...
he very helpful...
lin had hard time choosing a bike that works and suits her...
so he helped her to "test-drive" some bikes for her to choose...
nice of him to do so...

finally all of us got our bikes...
and OFF WE GO!!

lin says that ryan is familiar with the place...
so all of us let him lead the way...
cos we all blur about the place...

but tink we made the wrong choice ah...
cos he brought us the wrong way...
and when we finally figured out which is the corretc way to go...
IT RAINED!!!
and lucky for us...
we are able to take shelter at a temple in the place...
den i went to pay respects to the gods in the temple...
i dunno what to do...
so i just follow what other people do...
and use all the joss-sticks on all the statues...

we stayed at the temple for quite a while...
becos the rain keep getting heavier...
so we just chit-chat and rest...
and lin went to change clothes...

finally the rain stopped...
so we immediately head for our destination...
cos we are afraid that the rain will start if we delay any longer...
actually we wanted to just go out in the rain already...
so since the rain stopped we see no reason not to leave the place... :D

becos of the rain, many areas are filled with puddles of muddy water...
and i really regret wearing shoes to ubin...
cos my shoes become all dirty and it's SO uncomfortable... :(
i promised that i will wear sandles next time...

well after all that we decided that this is enough for the day...
so we head back to the bike shop to return the bikes...
i ride fast cos i cant stand the shoes any longer...
wanted to get out of them asap...

in the toilet...
i quickly changed out of the wet clothes...
only to realise that my other clothes in my bag are wet too...
though not as wet as what i was wearing... *sigh*
but what to do... i can't possibly not wear anything...
so i changed and used the dryer outside to dry the clothes a bit...
it helped a bit... so not so bad after that...
both me and lin took quite some time in the toilet...
cos she also had the same problem...
hahahaha... we should get water-proof bags next time we come to ubin...
so we will have dry clothes even if it rains...

and this ends our ubin trip...
it was wet and tiring but fun...
i like... and would love to go again... :D
